AUSTRALIA | Jehovah’s Witnesses form new religious corporations
by jwleaks inthe governing body of jehovah’s witnesses have approved the formation of an additional management corporation for jehovah’s witnesses in australia and the formation of a new audio visual production company.. on 11 november 2019 a new jehovah’s witnesses company, “kingdom support services (australasia) limited” (kssa), was registered in australia to “promote throughout australasia the advancement of the christian religion as understood and taught by the ecclesiastical governing body” and to “co-operate with or provide financial assistance to persons having similar aims and purposes and to other charitable organizations having similar aims and purposes within australasia or elsewhere”.. the structure and charitable purpose of kssa allows it to provide benevolent disaster relief (‘financial assistance’) to victims of the current bushfires in australia, albeit limited exclusively to “jehovah’s witnesses [who] practice their religion under the spiritual direction of the governing body”.
as of january 2020, the jehovah’s witnesses branch committee in australia, under the direction of the governing body, have formed two disaster relief committees to provide spiritual and material help to bushfire victims in australia that meet the religion’s criteria.. two days earlier, on 8 november 2019 another jehovah’s witnesses company, “avs productions (australasia) limited” (avspa), was registered in australia to “record, produce, publish, and distribute or dispose by way of gift music, photographs, film, animation, and other intellectual property of a religious or charitable nature”.. both new jehovah’s witnesses corporations have registered with the australian charities and not-for-profit commission (acnc) as religious charities.. despite the audio visual and animation production objects of avspa this new corporation also claims to “support members of the worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovah’s witnesses”.. these two new jehovah’s witnesses companies join the new and controversial management corporation, christian congregation of jehovah’s witnesses (australasia) limited (ccjwa), which was formed on 12 april 2019 to administer congregations, congregation charities, and bodies of elders.
and also to “support members of the worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovah’s witnesses”.. ccjwa, despite being registered as a not-for-profit corporation with the australian securities and investments commission (asic), is yet to be approved as a charity by the acnc.

The Craziness of an Average Bible Study
by Number 6 inlast week i posted a thread asking about who knew any "real anointed" and got some cracking replies.. that got me to thinking, as someone brought up in the 70's and 80's in the watchtower religion, my experience of bible studeis in their homes and those who made it to the hall were mostly batshit crazy or at least people with some serious quirks.. i'll relate a few, none of whose names i remember with any clarity.. in our cong we had an older couple who were from london, but who had been in the 1950's in the circuit work in the mid west usa.
they brought along some woman one night they had started a study with who told everyone cheerfully she was a recovering alcoholic and this was her cure (coming to the meetings).
this went on for a few weeks until one night they brought her to the memorial and she was royally pissed, and i mean barely able to stand; and went up to the platform table and necked some wine.

After the death of a spouse, how long did people wait to get remarried?
by RubaDub ini was on the phone with a long-time friend from my original congregation north of new york city and she told me that the 'shit hit the fan' when a brother (long-time elder i know well) got remarried about 6 weeks after his wife died.. he was about 60 and his new wife (a pioneer that i also know) was about 50 and had never been married.. it became a huge issue when the co came.
due to all the talk and chatter in the congregation, he even included in one of his talks without naming names, that marriage is something sacred and that when and how people get married is a personal matter as long as it conforms to bible standards.. anyway, it shut everybody up.
any similar experiences in your current/former congregations?.

Needs must. After my 2nd wife..2years together..died following a long illness, i quickly met someone else..lived together for a year..then got married. It didnt work out..and i divorced her after a 2 year separation.
Nobody elses busines
Married to wife #4 now.

we were happy and even though our relationship wasn't perfect (like all relationships) i thought we had a chance and were building a life together with our young kids.

Referring back to the troll comments...it is a fact we have had a number of very similar cases like this over the last few months. So..if its not one or more persons trolling the site for whatever reason....then it indicates the watchtower cult has a problem of its own making:
Some brothers are looking outside the cult for what they are denied within. Then they go running back to " mother "....And leaving behind broken hearts.
